This will allow you to tailor every aspect of the design to your personal preferences or patient requirements.
Please note that these preferences will be your default settings for your next bite plates.
Step 1: Connection to the Orbit 3D Enterprise website – Dental Division
Start by logging into our website using your credentials.
Step 2: Access Preferences
Once logged in, navigate to the tab “Preferences” shown in red below.
This space is dedicated to personalizing your occlusal plate orders.
Step 3: Filling out the Preference Sheet
In the section “Design Preferences”, you will be asked to enter crucial information for personalizing your plaque:
Preferred Ordering Platform
- Choice of Platform: Select the primary platform you will use to place your occlusal plate orders.
Preferred Service
- Service Selection: Indicate the specific service you prefer for your bite plate orders.
Contact details for Design
- Email address for sending file: Please provide the email address to receive the 3D files, as well as videos and photos (if applicable).
- Type of 3D Printer: Indicate the 3D printer model you plan to use for manufacturing the bite plates (if applicable).
Occlusal Plate Design Parameters
- Minimum thickness of the occlusal surface (Number 1): Define the desired thickness, between 2mm and 4mm, to ensure the comfort and effectiveness of the device.
- Retention (Number 2): Adjust this setting to change the level of plate fixation. A value between 0.03mm and 0.07mm is recommended to balance retention without compromising fit.
- Virtual Wax (Number 3) : This value is fixed, cannot be modified and tested for 3D printing.
- Offset (Number 4) : A higher offset reduces the pressure of plaque on the teeth. Choose a value between 0.05mm and 0.15mm depending on what is desired.
Additional Customization
- Engraving of Patient Name: By default, we offer to engrave the patient's name on the rear internal face of the plate. This option can be changed according to your preferences.
- Lingual Pouch: Included by default in our designs to promote comfort and functionality. This option can be disabled on request.
- Additionnal notes: Use this space to insert all the detailed specifications of your occlusal plates, such as canine laterality guidance, anterior protrusion guidance, etc.
Standard Parameter Considerations
Our occlusal plates are designed according to the principles of Dr. Aubé, with optimized parameters for a perfect balance between comfort and functionality.
Unless specifically necessary, we suggest maintaining the default settings to benefit from an occlusal plate that meets Dr. Aubé's high quality standards.
Step 4 (final): Validation of your preferences
Once you have completed all the necessary fields, double-check your information to make sure it matches your expectations. Remember, our default bite plates are configured for optimal comfort and efficiency, but we encourage you to customize your ordering preferences to meet your exact needs or those of your patients.
After adjusting your design settings, validate your preferences. Our team will be responsible for providing you with the design of your custom-made occlusal plate, scrupulously respecting your instructions to guarantee total satisfaction.
